The Office of the Registrar, an administrative service center for the University of Denver community, takes an active role in assisting students and faculty with registration and advising by providing the tools needed to review academic progress, create class schedules and successfully register for classes. Specialized services include, but are not limited to:

  • register for classes
  • prompt transcript distribution
  • degree evaluation and certification
  • enrollment and degree verification
  • classroom scheduling
  • withdrawal processing

We provide pertinent information regarding academic policy, federal regulations, and procedures as related to the procurement, maintenance and release of educational records of our current and former students.

Position Summary

This position will provide a high level of support for units using the cloud-based continuing enrollment registration and billing system. This position will be the functional administrator and the single point of contact for university departments, central administrative offices, IT and the software vendor. This new staff member would manage all aspects of the system including: security administration; end-user training and documentation; finance processes and configuration; system set-up and operation; end user support; system analysis and reporting.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees functional administration and configuration of continuing education software. 
  • Manage Security administration for software.
  • Responsible for testing patches, upgrades, and changes to software.
  • Daily administration of internal processes for General Ledger extract, Billing Reconciliation. 
  • Upload various data points to Student Information System.
  • Creates ad-hoc reports and analysis for operations, financials, and forecasting. 
  • Daily administration of internal processes for General Ledger extract, Billing Reconciliation. 
  • Monthly financial reporting for departments and Controller's Office. 
  • Manage financial interface between Banner and Continuing Education software. 
  • Primary contact for vendor related support. 
  • Primary contact for credit card processing related support. 
  • Analyze issues with software, integration.
  • Reports issues to vendors, provides communication to departments on status of issue and resolution. 
  • Investigates and resolves technical issues with Continuing Education and related Banner systems. 
  • Assists departments in evaluating needs, approach to offerings. 
  • Provides training to new users. 
  • Creates and maintains end-user documentation and training materials. 
  • Creates and maintains marketing materials for software. 
  • Coordinate all related functions to ensure projects timelines and goals are met. 
  • Escalate situations that appear to be problematic to the attention supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to change directions mid-task and to successfully multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with high-level staff. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Outlook, and Office 365.
  • Website editing experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Banner SIS.
  • Experience with Elevate Continuing Education Software.
  • Experience with large databases.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Salary Range
Salary will be determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
