The Teaching and Learning Sciences Department at Morgridge College of Education utilizes an integrated approach of theory and practice to be a force for positive change in the educational lives of individuals, organizations, and communities. The Teaching and Learning Sciences department with the Institute of Education Sciences funded project (RISC-PLAN) is looking for a part-time, non-benefitted Assessment Director. The Assessment Director will assist with an Institute of Education Sciences (IES) grant-funded research project, investigating the outcomes of a reading intervention with behavioral support for Grade 3-5 students demonstrating reading and attention difficulties. Specific duties include working directly under the principal investigator and/or project director to lead the assessment team in delivering academic and behavior assessment as well as video coding. All trainings will be provided. If interested, other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator and project director, the Assessment Director will lead a team of research assistants in (a) video data scoring and recording and (b) delivering academic and behavioral assessments. The Assessment Director will receive extensive and on-going training and coaching from the principal investigator and/or a project director. Weekly meetings will also be required as needed. This position requires a minimum of 5 hours per week with opportunities to extend to 10 or more hours per week. Hours are very flexible, except for trainings and weekly meetings.

The hourly range for this position is $30-40 per hour.
This position requires a minimum of 5 hours per week for fall quarter with flexibility in scheduling. Additional hours will be available.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidates’ sex or any other protected status.
In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
