Position Summary

The Part-Time Building and Operations Manager will assist in implementing and coordinating activities related to events and the overall administrative management of the Korbel Schools building operations. The position requires superior customer service, exercises considerable initiative and independent judgment, and operates with a high level of detail in the performance of assigned duties. The position is responsible for managing everything related to the building, including facilities requests, security, and supply management/inventory. This position works across Korbel's units, centers, and institutes, supporting event planning activities and execution. The Building Manager is expected to collaborate closely with staff and faculty.

The Building and Operations Manager will report to the Associate Dean for Administration.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot all repair issues and submit work orders
  • Place key orders and process returns and reassignments
  • Monitor, review, and approve calendaring in 25Live
  • Monitor, review and approve internal space reservations
  • Maintain Korbel's event calendar
  • Update building signage
  • Inventory and stock building and office supplies
  • Assist Korbel faculty and staff with the implantation of events
  • Collaborate with Conference and Event Services on external events
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent organization and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships, collaborate effectively with others, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of parties at all levels.
  • Proven ability to prioritize work and effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to take the initiative and work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team
  • Two or more years of experience in event and/or operational duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 20hrs per week.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 9.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $27.58 - $30.65.
