Medical assistant responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy, immunizations, CLIA waived laboratory testing, and assisting providers with procedures, exams, treatments, and various other duties as assigned. This person should be familiar with medical office standards and policies and must adhere to established DU and HCC policies and protocols. This position will help manage patient flow in the clinic, assist in clinical tasks such as those listed, and function as a resource for all providers in the clinic. This position requires the knowledge and skills to perform tasks in a fast paced and supportive environment while working closely with all medical, administrative, and counseling staff. This position reports to the Associate Director of Medical Clinical Services and Medical Director of the HCC and performs duties under the direction of the Associate Director of Medical Clinical Serivices, Medical Director, providers, and Executive Director of the HCC.
