Ricks Center for Gifted Children at the University of Denver is an exemplary program designed for gifted children. We provide nationally recognized gifted education to approximately 230 students ranging from three years of age through eighth grade, who demonstrate exceptional, differentiated abilities and learning needs.
The substitute teacher is a non-benefited, part-time position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year. This position will secure and sustain the overall well-being of children and to support the implementation of classroom and program plans. The substitute teacher will assume all classroom duties in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in a school setting.
- Graduate hours in education or gifted education.
- Experience teaching gifted children.
- Valid teaching certificate or license.
