Position Summary

The Department of Business Information and Analytics at Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver is looking to hire adjunct instructors for Spring 2021 quarter to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, such as applied business statistics, business analytics, information technology, database, data management platforms, programming, predictive analytics, data mining and visualization, project management, simulation, and/or optimization as well as special-topics courses. This posting will serve for multiple openings.

Essential Functions

Adjunct faculty are required to teach twice a week, hold office hours, assign papers and exams as appropriate and be available to assist students with assignments. The University operates on a quarter system.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business analytics, statistics, information technology, management information systems, decision science, or related discipline. Other degrees (finance, marketing, management, or similar) will be considered with evidence of strong analytical training and/or experience.
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach at the university level. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in business analytics, statistics, information technology, management information systems, decision science, or related discipline. Other degrees (finance, marketing, management, or similar).
  • College-level teaching experience.

Course Rate
$1,037.50 per credit hour

The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
