The Center for Orthopaedic Biomechanics is hiring multiple post-docs and graduate assistants to join a dynamic group working on funded projects including in-vivo joint mechanics, sports performance, computational modeling, implant testing, and wearable sensors. This is an amazing opportunity to work closely with a faculty mentor who conducts cutting edge research and has a strong record of funding and publication while developing your skills to become a successful independent investigator.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and with teams of graduate students and faculty.
  • Interest in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, biomechanics or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience conducting orthopaedic or human movement research using in vivo, in vitro, or in silico techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Grant-writing experience.
  • Finite element analysis using commercial FEA codes.
  • Multi-body dynamics simulation.
  • AI/machine learning experience.
  • Dynamic radiography and image post-processing.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Salary Grade Number
The salary grade for the position is 8.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
