The Morgridge College of Education is looking to hire adjunct instructors for Summer Quarter 2021 and the 2021-2022 academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in the Research Methods and Statistics department. Courses may vary.

Adjunct faculty positions are non-benefited positions. More information about the courses can be found on the Registrar’s Office schedule of classes at https://www.du.edu/registrar/course/scheduleofclasses.html. This posting will serve for multiple openings.

Basic Teaching Duties

Course Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities:

  • Teach in person or online once or twice a week (depending on course).
  • Create and maintain course Canvas container.
  • Meet with students as needed.
  • Assign papers, exams and other deliverables as appropriate.
  • Grade in a timely manner.
  • Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD degree in relevant fields.
  • Previous teaching/field experience at the graduate level and/or in graduate education programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Abundant industry experiences.
  • Successful scholarship record.

Course Rate

$1,058 per credit hour taught

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, available market information, and course enrollment, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
