Position: Part Time Children’s Yoga Instructor Ricks Center for Gifted Children at the University of Denver is a Preschool to Grade 8 school serving the needs of gifted children since 1984. Ricks Center offers a progressive model of education focused on developing the intellectual, social, emotional, creative and physical needs of the gifted child. Our diverse student body benefits from small class sizes, expert teachers, a wide range of content offerings, integrated curriculum, and a focus on community, care and engagement.
We seek a yoga instructor experienced in children’s yoga to provide instruction for students Kindergarten-Eighth grade. This is a part-time, non-benefited position, approximately 4 hours per week for the 2021-2022 school year.
*Please note that hiring for this position will be though the state of Colorado via the EANS Program.
This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
- Work with groups of students on mindfulness and yoga practices.
- Be able to positively guide a group of young children in yoga and mindfulness and support them socially, emotionally and physically.
- Have flexibility to possibly work with mixed-age groups of children within buddy classes of older and younger children.
- Certification in yoga instruction.
- Experience instructing groups of children in yoga.
The hourly range for this position is $45-55.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting.
