The Morgridge College of Education (MCE) at the University of Denver (DU) invites applications in the Department of Counseling Psychology for a one-year, 12-month Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice. This is a benefited, full-time, one-year visiting appointment (non-tenure track) for the 2022-2023 academic year. Located in the city of Denver, DU is the oldest and largest independent university in the Rocky Mountain Region with high research activity and enrolls approximately 11,500 students in its undergraduate, graduate, and professional preparation programs. Specific responsibilities include: teaching masters and doctoral courses in counseling psychology, advising graduate students, and serving on department and college committees.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence, equity, and access in education.
- Doctoral degree in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, counselor education and supervision or a closely related field.
- Prior experience in teaching and supervision.
- Demonstrated commitment to and experience working with diverse populations and demonstrated knowledge, experience, and versatility in inclusive pedagogy.
- Teaching experience at the graduate level.
- Although the area of specialty is open, we are seeking candidates who can advance our department priorities by teaching courses related to theory, counseling techniques, and practicum/internship.

The salary grade for the position is UC.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $62,700.
