The Morgridge College of Education (MCE) at the University of Denver (DU) invites applications in the Department of Teaching and Learning Sciences (TLS) for a one-year, nine-month Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice. This is a benefited, full-time, one-year visiting appointment (non-tenure track) for the 2022-2023 academic year. Located in the city of Denver, DU is the oldest and largest independent university in the Rocky Mountain Region with high research activity and enrolls approximately 11,500 students in its undergraduate, graduate, and professional preparation programs.

Specific responsibilities include teaching masters and doctoral courses to students in the TLS programs and advising graduate students in curriculum and instruction program and serving on program, department, and college committees.
- Earned doctorate in curriculum and instruction, teacher education, exceptional education, or a closely related field. ABDs may be considered.
- Prior experience in teaching
- Demonstrated commitment to and experience in working with diverse populations and demonstrated knowledge, experience, and versatility in inclusive pedagogy.
- Teaching experience at the graduate level.
- Although the area of specialty is open, we are seeking candidates who can advance our department priorities by teaching courses related to literacy, exceptionalities, culturally and linguistically diverse learners.

The salary grade for the position is UC.
The salary range for this position is $60,000- $62,700.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting.
