Position Summary

The Department of Psychology at the University of Denver is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the 2022-2023 academic year to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, such as Introduction to Clinical Psychology, Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience, Introduction to Social Psychology, Introduction to Statistics, Abnormal Psychology, Child and Lifespan Development, Child Psychopathology, Clinical Psychology, Depression, Motivation and Emotion, Research Design and Inference, Research Methods, and special-topics courses. The University operates on a quarter system.

Essential Functions

  • Job requirements including teaching twice a week
  • Holding office hours
  • Assigning papers and exams as appropriate 
  • Being available to assist students with assignments 

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Ability to teach at the university level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • College-level teaching experience

Work Schedule

Varies, depending on the course.

Course Rate

The salary for this position will be $4,360 per course.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
