The Morgridge College of Education is hiring adjunct instructors for the 2022-2023 academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in the Research Methods and Statistics program. Courses may vary but more information about the types of courses to be taught can be found on the Registrar’s Office schedule of classes at https://www.du.edu/registrar/course/scheduleofclasses.html">https://www.du.edu/registrar/course/scheduleofclasses.html. This posting will serve for multiple openings throughout the 2022-2023 academic year.
Course Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities
- Teach qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed methods courses in person or online once or twice a week (depending on course)
- Create and maintain course Canvas container
- Hold office hours with students for 1-2 hours per week
- Assign papers, exams, and other deliverables as appropriate
- Grade in a timely manner
- Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed
- PhD degree in education or a social science related field
- Previous teaching experience at the graduate level
- Relevant industry experiences
- Successful scholarship record
Adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $1,090 per credit hour taught.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
