Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Programs, the Manager of Enrollment Services is responsible for marketing Daniels to prospective students and parents; overseeing participation in all University of Denver (DU) administered admission events; manage the pre-business pathways process; and continually improving enrollment (yield) campaigns based on tracking and reporting of Daniels Undergraduate enrollment data.

Essential Functions

Enrollment and Admissions: Collaborate with the Office of Admissions in identifying and recruiting students to the Daniels College of Business. Oversee College recruiting events and participation in events sponsored by the DU Office of Admissions for prospective and accepted students and parents. Meet with prospective students and parents. Plan and deliver information sessions and recruiting events for prospective students and parents, in conjunction with Undergraduate Programs staff. Understand goals and mission of DU/Daniels liberal arts and business education curriculum, with demonstrated ability to articulate these to external stakeholders. Recruit, train, and manage current student ambassadors to participate in prospective student visits. Develop and manage communications plans and marketing materials to prospective students and parents, and to DU admissions counselors. Manage outreach and yield campaigns to accepted students and scholarship recipients. Monitor and manage undergraduate enrollment levels and provide periodic reports. Provide admission reports and class profile reports. Travel locally to high schools, fairs, potentially travel out of state to high-yield areas for Daniels and/or DU. 

Strategy: Generate strategic plan for outreach and yield campaigns, in collaboration with the Office of Admissions and Daniels Undergraduate Programs, to increase recruitment of applicants from diverse backgrounds. Participate in strategic planning, development and management process in support of undergraduate student services. Serve on campus or college committees as requested. 

Additional Duties: Monitor and track progress of pre-business students in completion of requirements to apply to pursue a business major in Daniels; communicate with those who are not on track to let them know their standing and ensure they have access to academic resources to facilitate their success. Seek to develop relationships with other units on campus to ensure collaboration and coordination related to the pre-business pathways. Actively participate in the programs and activities of the Office of Undergraduate Programs. Contribute meaningful content to the Office of Undergraduate Programs social media tools. Assist with academic advising during peak advising weeks. Assist with the pre-orientation and orientation initiatives for new students. Represent the Daniels College and DU both internally and externally on committees and task forces. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High-level organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand enrollment reports and student records and demonstrate the ability to generate accurate reports and analyses.
  • Ability to synthesize data and facilitate strategic planning around growth areas.
  • Ability to clearly and compellingly communicate the features and benefits of the Daniels College of Business to prospective students and parents, including the ability to convey overall college benefits available.
  • Ability to define prospective student needs and customize responses accordingly.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly with students and/or parents, and be able to clearly communicate and sell them on the Colleges vision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, enhancing the capabilities of others.
  • Excellent customer experience skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience in student services and higher education.
  • Demonstrated understanding and execution of student and family (as customer) experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree.
  • Experience overseeing student enrollment and yield campaigns.
  • Knowledge of student lifecycle from prospective student to graduate.
  • Ability to quickly connect with prospective students and their families; serve as an outstanding ambassador for Daniels and DU.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools a plus.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 8.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $53,000 - $58,000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
