Marketing Operations Coordinator (Part-Time, Non-Benefitted)

University College seeks a well-organized, detail-oriented Marketing Operations Coordinator to traffic multiple creative, event, and communications projects while reporting deliverables and deadlines to other marketing team members and assist in organizing online and in-person events, including registration, attendee communication, Zoom or room set-up, and promotion. Other marketing support responsibilities include assisting with print projects, vendor outreach, ordering marketing collateral, supplies, and swag, researching marketing opportunities, sourcing events and news for use in various communication channels (newsletter, social media, website), budget tacking and oversight, and other duties as assigned.

The Marketing Operations Coordinator will follow best practices in marketing with a focus on continuing education marketing and will align with University College’s core values: honor the individual, champion learning, transform lives, work together, and pursue excellence. The interview process for this role will include a preliminary phone screening, then those selected to move forward will engage in an interview with the hiring committee (via Zoom or in person), and culminate in an opportunity to meet the marketing team along with the dean and an assistant/associate dean for a final interview.

These are non-benefited, part-time positions not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year. 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate events, including webinars, graduation, and in-person gatherings
  • Order marketing collateral, supplies, and swag
  • Coordinate print jobs (in-house and with vendors)
  • Research marketing opportunities, relevant events, and news
  • Manage faculty biographies for website
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong organizational skills and project management skills with experience balancing multiple priorities, deadlines, and budget tracking
  • Goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, and self-starter who is flexible
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and strong intercultural appreciation and awareness
  • Helpful, motivated to serve others, and collaborative spirit
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain a positive attitude and be part of a “yes we can” team

  • Microsoft Office Suite

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, public relations or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Marketing, project management, or account management experience
  • Proficiency using

Work Schedule 

15-20 hours per week. In accordance with the University’s work from home policy, all University College employees are eligible to be considered for partial remote work. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on the division and team specific needs.  Please note this is a pilot plan that will be reevaluated on December 31, 2022 and is subject to change.

Hourly Range:
The hourly range for the position is $20.00-$22.00.

The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
