The Advancement Coordinator supports annual giving, donor stewardship, and other projects as assigned in support of advancement for the Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW) and Morgridge College of Education (MCE). Reporting to the Executive Director of Development for GSSW, the Coordinator will provide administrative and project management support for unit-specific annual giving appeals, stewardship for targeted priorities and funds, constituent communications, and other projects as assigned.
This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
- Serve as a liaison to the central annual giving team providing unit level strategy and information in support of campus-wide appeals.
- In partnership with the MCE and GSSW advancement teams and in coordination with central annual giving, identify priorities and funds for mini-campaigns on both an ad-hoc and annual basis and lead development and execution of appeals.
- Identify and manage data needs related to annual giving.
- Support annual participation in 1Day4DU for GSSW and MCE, coordinating closely with central annual giving, alumni engagement, and major gift officers.
- Steward annual and leadership annual giving donors for targeted priorities and funds through thoughtful impact-based communications as defined by development leadership in GSSW and MCE.
- Support MCE and GSSW in scholarship donor stewardship through active collaboration with financial aid offices to monitor priority funds, communication with students about donor engagement opportunities including events, and coordination of student letter writing campaigns.
- Support tracking and reporting on multi-year commitments.
- Serve as an active and collaborative partner to central and unit-based advancement functions and other campus colleagues to foster strategic, effective, and collaborative talent management practices.

- Adept at problem-solving, critical thinking, and using judgment in situations that that require sensitivity and tact.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education or work experience (Veterans with equivalent combination of military certification/education and experience may substitute for the degree qualification)
- 2 years of professional administrative, constituent relations, or related experience
- Experience in higher education or similarly complex non-profit organization specifically supporting advancement efforts
- Standard open office environment
- Noise level is quiet to moderate
- Eligible for hybrid work
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period
- Must be willing and able to travel between multiple buildings across campus, and to move computer hardware from building to building with assistance (occasionally up to 20lb)
Approximately 15-20 hours per week; flexibility to establish a semi-regular weekly schedule; some nights and weekends as required.

The hourly range for the position is $20.43 - $25.50.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
