The College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (CAHSS) is the largest and most diverse academic unit at the University of Denver, where students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed at nearly any career in today’s globally connected society. Position Description
CAHSS is hiring three (3) Recruitment & Admissions Coordinators who will play a pivotal role in the efficient organization and implementation of enrollment management within CAHSS. This position is a member of the CAHSS Enrollment Management team, and reports to the Recruitment & Admissions Manager. The Coordinator will collaborate with various academic departments, faculty members, and administrative staff to support recruitment & admissions functions. The Recruitment & Admissions Coordinator must possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Essential Functions
- Advise prospective students regarding general program information, admission requirements, prerequisites, and application navigation.
- Respond promptly to queries via email, phone, and in person about all aspects of CAHSS programs and direct undergraduate prospects to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions when applicable.
- Engage in direct outreach via email and/or phone to prospective graduate students to solicit and answer questions or encourage follow through with the application process.
- Maintain regular availability for prospective student appointments.
- Collect information from inquiring graduate applicants, enter appropriate information into Slate, and facilitate follow-up correspondence.
- Provide campus tours and set up class visits as needed for prospective graduate students.
- Support graduate departments with graduate recruitment events such as Admit Day and information sessions.
- Support undergraduate admissions and departments with undergraduate recruitment events such as Journeys to DU and Fridays@DU.
- Work with Manager and faculty graduate directors to post scholarships in Slate and Banner following CAHSS and University policies.

Required Qualifications
Level II:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in years of equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 1 year of previous experience working in an office, professional, or military setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Level III:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in years of equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 2-3 year of previous experience working in an office, professional, or military setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Level II:
- 2 years of administrative experience working in an office, professional, or military setting.
- Experience working with student enrollment.
- Experience with content writing for marketing initiatives.
- Experience working with Technolutions Slate, Ellucian Banner, or other CRMs.
Level III:
- 3-5 years of administrative experience working in an office, professional, or military setting.
- Experience working with college/university enrollment; preference for current/prior experience in CAHSS.
- Experience with content writing for marketing initiatives.
- Experience working with Technolutions Slate, Ellucian Banner, or other CRMs.
- Proficiency in two or more languages and/or relevant intercultural competencies.
Working Environment
- Standard office environment.
- Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate
- As this position will support departments across the College, individual(s) must be willing to meet with stakeholder at locations across campus.
Physical Activities
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time.
- Ability to sit or stand in front of a room for an extended period of time.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Option to work remotely up to two days per week.

Hourly Range:
The hourly range for this position is $24.00-$27.00
