The Gymnastics Summer Day Camp Instructor is responsible for gymnastics instruction for gymnasts ages 6-12 ranging from beginner to USAG Level 3/XCEL Gold skill levels. Instructors also oversee non-gymnastics programming including meal and snack periods, warm-ups, games, contests and more!

Essential Duties:

  • Provide an excellent level of service for all participants and families
  • Maintain a positive attitude and high energy level throughout camp programming
  • Gym/equipment safety checks
  • Set up/tear down equipment
  • Plan age and level appropriate gymnastics lessons
  • Assess camper progress
  • Maintain safety of all assigned groups and areas
  • Supervise meal and snack periods
  • Camper check-in/out
  • Lead warm-ups, games and contests
  • Attend all trainings and staff meetings
  • Additional duties as required

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children
  • CPR/FA/AED Certification (must be obtained by start date)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of gymnastics coaching experience
  • Knowledge of the sport of gymnastics
  • Experience spotting gymnastics skills
  • Ability to manage a group of 6-9 children

Work Schedule

10-40 hours/week. 

  • M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  (flexible schedule for hours per day and days per week available)
  • May 26 – June 19th
  • July 6 – August 21st

Hourly Range

The hourly range for this position is $19.50-$22.00
