This position possesses an advanced understanding of cataloging rules, standards and the ability to interpret overall library policy and procedures. Ability to resolve complex cataloging issues; contributes analysis and quality assessment of vendor supplied records; works independently to solve problems. This position also works closely with the Curator of Special Collections, subject-specialist librarians and other staff to create enhanced bibliographic access to materials. Supervises and trains hourly cataloging staff as needed. |
