The Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver is currently seeking part-time Managers on Duty to assist with the execution of events at the Newman Center.
The Manager on Duty will be responsible for assisting with the execution of events at the Newman Center.
These are non-benefited, part-time positions not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
- Support the Newman Center with event management functions.
- Serve as client liaison on day of event.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Contribute to a welcoming environment and excellent customer service for all Newman Center clients, participants and patrons.
- General oversight of parking and concessions contracted staff and activities. Ability to balance a cash bank after parking and concessions sales have occurred.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Able to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in customer service or retail.
- Ability to work on his/her/their feet for extended periods, navigate stairs and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience in event management in a performing arts venue preferred.
- Crowd management experience.
Part-time, hours will vary. Must be available to work primarily nights and weekends.
The hourly range for this position is $18.00-$20.00.
