Position Summary
The Admissions Counselor serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students and is ambassador for the Sturm College of Law’s JD program. The Admissions Counselor conducts presentations, information sessions, and campus tours. The Admission Counselor is also responsible for executing on all aspects of the Law School’s virtual recruitment efforts and maintaining data in the CRM.
Essential Functions
- Serve as the primary office contact for prospective and admitted students; address specific needs and concerns of applicants; advise on general program information, application requirements, and admission procedure.
- Coordinate and conduct virtual and on-campus information sessions and presentations to prospective applicants and other stakeholder groups.
- Manage the campus visit programs for prospective and admitted candidates, including: on-site recruitment events, admitted student open house, law school tours, class observations, and group/independent visits.
- Develop and maintain a virtual recruitment plan for the College of Law; analyze efforts from competitor schools; stay abreast of trends in the field.
- Maintain the inquiry/prospect files in the Law School’s CRM and implement follow-up protocol with prospects.
- Represent the College of Law at recruiting, alumni, and other national events.
- Analyze cost and impact of marketing strategy and campaigns as related to timing and overall number of applications.
- Manage the Law School’s Admissions email, phone, and social media account.
- Provide input on the development of recruitment materials.
- Hire, train, and supervise student employees.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of JD Admissions or Assistant Dean of Admissions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree.
- Previous work in an office setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work in an academic setting, ideally an admissions department.
- Working knowledge of ACES2/Unite CRM.
- 3 years of work experience in an office setting.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. In accordance with the University’s flexible work policy, this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on the division and team specific needs.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 7.
Hourly Range:
The hourly range for the position is $23.00-$27.00
