Position Summary

OLLI at DU seeks a Technology Coordinator for a part-time support position. The OLLI at DU Technology Coordinator reports directly to the OLLI at DU Co-Executive Director for Operations, Technology, Finance and Curriculum.

Essential Functions

The primary responsibility of the Technology Coordinator is to maintain the OLLI at DU website and provide assistance to OLLI staff with the use of Zoom, Campus CE, and Constant Contact: 

  1. Input/update all information on the OLLI website including the use of html code.
    1. Registration information on the Website: updated for each of the terms in an Academic year: Fall/Fall Recess/Winter/Spring/Summer Shorts
      1. Included is the Main Website page, information included under the Courses and Registration, Membership Categories
    2. Ongoing:
      1. Input and updates for all information under the Category tabs to include:
        1. Verbiage and photos
        2. Working with managers to obtain updated information (Membership Manager- Events and Shared Interest Groups; Volunteer Manager – volunteer opportunities; Site Managers- site events and information)
  2. Assist Co-Executive Director for Operations, Technology, Finance and Curriculum in the development of a technology team of volunteers to assist on creating and maintaining reports from Campus CE data; and with Zoom trainings for facilitators and members, Constant Contact trainings, and Campus CE trainings.
  3. Workshops
    1. Coordinate two facilitator workshops per term on the use of Zoom
    2. Collaborate with the Membership Manager on new member orientation each term
    3. Conduct workshops for staff on use of Campus CE
    4. Conduct workshops for staff on use of Constant Contact
  4. Stay current on Campus CE updates and changes, attending monthly update workshops; working with CCE to implement changes for OLLI at DU.
  5. Coordinate with DU UCOL Marketing to update OLLI’s page on the University of Denver’s website

Other responsibilities included but are not limited to the following:

  1. Assist the Operations Coordinator as backup for web catalog and registration development each term
  2. Enter zoom and syllabi links into Campus CE each term
  3. Answer manager/member questions on use of technology (Constant Contact, Campus CE, Zoom)
  4. Manage Digication
  5. Collaborate with OLLI Support Specialist on setting up all Zoom sessions for online courses each term
  6. Collaborate with Support Specialist on maintaining Constant Contact- update contact info/keep clean (unsubscribe)
  7. Maintain the OLLI at DU Teams folder: check for updates, clean up redundancies; give access to new staff members
  8. Attend monthly Support Staff Meetings with Support Specialists, Operations Coordinator, and Site Program Coordinators
  9. Attend monthly staff meetings

Required Qualifications 

  • Home office with computer and sufficient network capabilities for remote tech support
  • Personable; ability to interact well with a variety of people; able to anticipate needs
  • Good communications skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Significant Zoom experience
  • Experience with Office 365; including Teams, Excel, Word, Powerpoint

Working Environment

  1. Standard office environment.
  2. Unexpected interruptions occur often, and stress level is moderate to high.
  3. Noise level is quiet to moderate.

Physical Activities

  1. Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.
  2. Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.

Work Schedule

This part-time position of up to 500 hours per year has a flexible schedule as the duties dictate. 

There is not a designated office.

Hourly Rate:

The hourly rate is $25.00 per hour paid through the University of Denver on a bi-weekly basis.
