Position Summary

The Josef Korbel School seeks Directors of the Undergraduate INTS and PPOL Programs for the period of July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2028.

Essential Functions

  • Support the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and work with the Director of Undergraduate Programs on all matters related to Korbel’s undergraduate curriculum and academic programs
  • Work with faculty to develop and improve the current program,  to develop new opportunities for INTS and PPOL students, and to support enrollment efforts
  • Work with students, staff and faculty to resolve issues related to student progress and challenges with their engagement with the INTS and PPOL academic programs
  • Attend University-level meetings in connection with curriculum, the student experience, and broader University integration associated with undergraduate programs/policy at DU
  • Collaborate with the staff Director of Undergraduate Programs on student advising and curricular issues

  • Appointed faculty of the Korbel School

Working Environment

  • Standard office environment.
  • Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
  • Noise level is quiet to moderate.

Physical Activities

  • Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to move about the office/campus.

Work Schedule

While the University's administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. The University's academic calendars are posted on the registrar's website (the law school is on a semester system and has a different academic calendar).

Salary Grade Number

The salary grade for the position is UC.

Compensation

Compensation is $10,000 annually for PPOL and $15,000 for INTS.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
