The Department of Facilities Management supports the mission of the University of Denver's physical resources to provide a healthy and safe educational environment for the campus community through services of the departments of Capital Projects and Planning, Facilities Management, Parking & Mobility Services, Auxiliaries & Real Estate, and Business & Operations.
Position Summary
Receive and Delivery Packages and Mail for Business operations on Campus.
Essential Functions
- Receives merchandise, checks for shortages and/or damages, and notifies vendor if any discrepancies occur.
- Process Claims for damages through the Purchasing Department.
- Identify Packages related to Purchase Orders, and enter the invoice from such packages into the Banner.
- Fills Warehouse Paper requisitions submitted by University offices.
- Packs and ships damaged material back to vendors.
- Prepares all outgoing packages for shipment by Parcel Post, Federal Express, United Parcel, and other methods of Shipment.
- Delivers packages received to the Central Receiving Warehouse to campus departments.
- Ability to sort and deliver campus mail.
- Utilizes the campus tracking software, Qtrak to receive, route, and deliver campus packages.
- Exercise a high level of customer service to deliver customers.
- Performs related work as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to speak with clients about the status of their packages.
- Exercising high-level customer service.
- Learn all campus departments and their mail drop locations, and use the departments to properly route packages in the tracking software.
- Need to know how to properly sort letter mail.
- Make decisions about the most efficient route to deliver packages.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED required Work Experience
- Two to Four years experience in a warehouse/mail operation.
- Must possess a valid Colorado Drivers license and be insurable under University Guidelines.
- Ability to complete DOT HAZMAT Training and complete Forklift training.
- Must pass a pre-placement Physical Exam

- Standard office environment.
- Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate.
Physical Activities
- Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Hourly Rate
The hourly rate for the position is $21.51.
