Essential Functions

Project and Administrative Support 

Provides coordination and administrative support for key 4D projects, programs, and initiatives. Two areas of focus will be support for the Resilience Lab and Compassion Lab, with the Coordinator managing logistics and coordination for The Resilient Scientist Series, Compassion Lab immersive experiences, Lab networks and related partnerships, and 4D trainings and workshops. Key activities include:

  • Scheduling and logistics coordination for meetings, workshops, and events
  • Managing communication with participants, speakers, and partners
  • Preparing program materials, agendas, and follow-up documentation
  • Supporting tracking of participation, engagement, and program outcomes
  • Maintaining organized records and shared resources across initiatives

Grant and Gift Fund Tracking and Reporting 

Track expenditures and allocations related to grant and gift funding across 4D initiatives. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in coordination with internal finance teams. Monitor budgets to ensure compliance with grant requirements and funding restrictions. Support the preparation of grant reports, collecting and organizing data and documenting budgets. Assist in documenting program outcomes and impact metrics for funders and stakeholders.

Conference Planning and Coordination 

Support the end-to-end planning and execution of major 4D conferences and events, including the 4D Symposium and the National LearningWell Coalition Conference at DU. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with project planning timelines and milestone tracking
  • Coordinating logistics and/or working with DU Conference and Events staff or other stakeholders where applicable
  • Supporting alignment and communication
  • Preparing event materials (programs, schedules, briefing documents)
  • Providing onsite or virtual event support
  • Assisting with post-even follow-up, including evaluations and reporting

Communication and Storytelling 

Promote 4D opportunities and impact through contributing to reports, assessments, and strategic planning. Organize participation and outcomes data for communication through 4D newsletters and other university newsletters.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong project and event management skills, including coordination of multiple programs, initiatives and timelines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for outreach, facilitation, presentations, and storytelling
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, including administrators, faculty, staff, students, and external partners
  • Proficiency in using technology platforms for communication and data sharing and tracking
  • Familiarity with data collection, assessment, and program evaluation methods
  • Understanding of budget and records management

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail and follow‑through

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong organizational and administrative experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree completed or in progress in higher education, nonprofit management, public policy, or a related field
  • Large event or conference planning experience
  • Experience with budgeting, financial tracking, or grant administration
  • Familiarity with project management frameworks and tools

Work Schedule

In-person or hybrid work. Not to exceed 1000 hours in a calendar year

Hourly Range:
The hourly range for the position is $27.00 - $28.00.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
